Modeling Demo Reel Breakdown List

Shot 1 (0:00 – 0:31)
This snowboard was created as a final project for a 3D modeling class. I used Maya 2014 modeling software and the Mental Ray renderer. I applied the smooth box modeling technique. I used a bend deformer to create the snowboard straps. I textured using Adobe Photoshop CS6 as well as coloring within Maya.

Shot 2 (0:32 – 1:02)
This desk lamp model is a set dressing prop that is part of an animation scene that I collaborated on with three other modelers and an animator for my Senior Game Project class. I used Maya 2014 modeling software for modeling and coloring.

Shot 3 (1:03 – 1:57)
This squid type character was created for a mid-semester assignment for my Organic Modeling class. The model was sculpted in ZBrush 4R6.

Shot 4 (1:58 – 3:30)
This stylized cartoon bird character was created for my Organic Modeling class. The concept image was provided by the Digital Tutors website. The model was sculpted and polypainted in ZBrush 4R6.

Character Design Photoshop

First character evecreated using Adobe Photoshop CS6.

Final project for a class using Adobe Photoshop CS6.

Created using Adobe Photoshop CS6

Project for a class where I was tasked with creating a central character from a story fragment of my own creation.

In the story, only two species exist: fire-based creatures and ice-based creature due to the planet's temperature being a mix of extreme cold and hot climate. Since the planet’s poles shift every three hundred years the location of the climate switches to different areas of the planet’s surface, known as the Disparity Event, which causes a majority of the species to die off. To combat this, a small group of members from each specie tend to mate with each other to increase the survivability of their species.

This character one of the results of a mating between a fire-based creature and a ice-based creature.

Final project for a Character Design class using Adobe Photoshop CS6 where I was required to create a fully rendered character and background of my own design as well as have front, back, and side turn-around sketches; be in color and have shading effects on it.

This character is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi inspired wasteland hunter/mercenary. The story behind this Lougr is he a humanoid-type alien from the planet Flougr who wears a gas mask connected to a life support tank, which is hidden underneath his robe, to help him survive in any environment. He conceals his identity underneath a large hooded robe and makes use of technology native to whichever planet he visits to blend in with the surroundings.

Lougr turned into a mercenary after spending 15 years as a soldier in the Flouzorgian Army during a war against another alien species known as the Nazanians. Lougr took part in many important events during the war and was a key element into help eventually winning the war. He took part of an experiment which enhanced his powers that all Flougorians have such as gravitational, molecular, electromagnetism, and solar manipulation, telekinesis as well as enhanced strength, durability, intelligence, and speed which is about 4-7 times that of a human. The experiment also gave shape-shifting and power-absorption abilities. Years after the experiment, these new abilities produced a deadly virus which carried on to his offspring. Where Flougorians have creation-type powers, Nazanians have destruction-type powers. These powers included dark and chaotic magic manipulation and enhanced strength, durability, intelligence, and speed but were far superior to that of the Flougarians.

Now, since the Nazanian-Flouzorg War is long over, Lougr has been sent to an Earth-like wasteland environment to eliminate a rival of a top-level Flouzorg government agent in order to save his family from the virus Lougr is carrying. The virus can only be cured after paying at least 15 million Flourae (Flouzorg currency) or gained access by a top-level goverment agent.
